West Virginia MGNOC 2008 Events

In 2008 WV MGNOC West Virginia MGNOC will host an event each month beginning in May and ending with the 2008 Mountain Guzzi Rally at Pipestem Resort State Park in October. Each event will be a day ride, an overnighter, or an entire weekend event, depending on the rider’s volition. We will continue our habit of congregating at one the many beautiful West Virginia state parks for breakfast on Saturday mornings. Afterwards there will be rides in small groups in the area of the event followed by camping at the park or the home of one of our members that night. Those who attended the 2007 events know of the great times and great food we had at these weekend rallies and remember the breathtaking rides through the forests and mountains of the West Virginia highlands. We were treated to fantastic evenings with delicious dinners and delectable country breakfasts on Sunday mornings before leaving for home. Also I’d like to mention that the weather was absolutely perfect for all seven of the WV MGNOC events in 2007. May we be so lucky again!

Bob and Diane Smith hosted our rider group in July and September and Carolyn’s house was our destination in April, June, August and October. Such generosity and hospitality certainly made 2007 a year to remember. We hope to make 2008 as good or better. Carolyn Miller, Larry Clark and I have already offered to open our homes for events in 2008. Following are the dates and sites for the West Virginia MGNOC Weekends for 2008. Hope you can make one! Details on riding directions and information on lodging and/or camping will follow soon. Follow the links on the MGNOC site and the Mountain Guzzi site for details. . All breakfasts convene at 10 AM except the Rally breakfast at 9 AM.

The mountain divides the landscape, with the park on the eastern slope and the Cacapon River winding along the base of the western slope.
